Ashley Capps

Ashley Capps is a marketing professional, mom of three, and a native Texan who happily calls Arizona home. Once described as a “good idea generator,” Ashley can creatively turn a clever hunch into a successful brand asset. With roots in the communications industry, she provides strategic vision for a leading B2B technology company in Phoenix where she works closely with executive and C-level teams to execute market strategies for new and existing product lines. Relying on her years of public relations experience, Ashley navigates brands through rapid growth and unexpected hurdles alike. As a member of the ally community, Ashley encourages others to turn their words of support into steps of action to push forward in the fight for equality that still lies ahead.

Ashton Skinner

Ashton Skinner works as ONE Community’s Transgender & Millennial Outreach Coordinator. Born and raised in Phoenix, Ashton is a community organizer and young leader, who is passionate about using anti-bias, diversity, and social justice education to strengthen historically marginalized groups and their allies. Ashton is transgender and identifies as queer and non-binary (using the pronouns they & them). Outside of their work at ONE Community, Ashton is also a Facilitator for the Anti-Defamation League’s No Place for Hate and A World of Difference programs, a member of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office LGBTQ Advisory Board, and a fellow of the Obama Foundation 2018 Community Leadership Corps. They hold a bachelor's degree in painting from Whitworth University, and a master's degree in Social & Cultural Pedagogy from Arizona State University’s School of Social Transformation.

Chris Huie

Chris is a local tech evangelist who loves to help others learn new and exciting technical skills. You will usually find him out around town at local meetups or working the overnight shift at hackathons. When he isn't supporting the Phoenix dev and data science communities you can usually find Chris chilling with his English Bulldog watching Twitch.

Lauren M. Witte

Director, Marketing + Communications

Arizona Technology Council

Lauren M. Witte serves as the Marketing + Communications Director for the Arizona Technology Council, a private, not-for-profit technology trade association.

Joining the Council in November 2016, Lauren oversees the organization’s event promotions, member communications, email marketing, web development, advertisements and publications, graphic design, and social media. Lauren is responsible for helping to facilitate and promote over 100 Council events a year. She recently helped launch the TechConnect AZ Podcast in partnership with local startup accelerator, Coplex.

Prior to joining the Council, Lauren held the position of Brand Manager for Scottsdale-based real estate development firm Deco Communities, and before that, she was the Associate Director of Marketing + Client Relations and the law firm, JacksonWhite in Mesa, AZ.

She received Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Creative Writing: Nonfiction and Studio Art: Photography from the University of Redlands in Southern California, earning Departmental Honors in both disciplines and graduating Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.

Lauren serves on the One Community Multicultural Advisory Board (MAB), is Co-Chair of the One Community Millennial Multicultural Advisory Board (MiMAB), and is the Partnership Co-Chair on the Board of Directors for the Phoenix Chapter of Girls in Tech. She loves sports, craft beer, diversity, and cooking shows and currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband, Ian and their corgi, Conan.

Lilly Berkley

Associate

OH Strategic Communications

Lilly Berkley joined OH Strategic Communications as an Associate in February, 2018. At OHSC, Lilly assists with a wide variety of daily projects, develops media reports, collaborates with strategic, impactful and consistent messaging for OHSC clients. She also participates in government relations strategy for changing policy at the state and municipal levels.

Lilly is a member of ONE Community’s Millennial Advisory Committee, where they work to make positive change and strengthen relationships between businesses and diverse allied millennials to support Arizona’s growing economy. She is also a member of the Sandra Day O’Connor Institute Millennial Council. The Millennial Council works to advance civic engagement and public policy education for the millennial generation. Lilly believes tremendous personal and community growth is possible through civil discourse and equality for all Arizonans.

Her previous experience as an intern at both Berkshire Hathaway and CoNecs North America gave her great insight into public relations, government affairs, communication strategy, and brand management. Lilly graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and sociology.

She may be a native New Englander but is proud to be called a Phoenician.

McKenna Byrne

McKenna Byrne is a current Junior at Arizona State University West campus studying Biology with an emphasis in Forensics. In her limited free time, she enjoys working in autopsy, talking to cats like they're humans, and fighting for basic human rights. She has been working with ONE Community since September of 2016 along with her fellow teammates in the Next Generation Service Corps at Arizona State University’s Public Service Academy. Her goal is to open the eyes of all generations to the need for equality amongst race, gender, creed, color, sexual orientation, and religion.

Michael Chang

Michael Chang is a nonprofit program director who wholeheartedly believes that everyone tapping into their greatest potential is key to a better world. He is committed to helping organizations and their supporters share meaningful stories, and acting as a conduit for sustainable and purposeful collaboration by serving as a connector in the community. Michael is the Director of Alumni Relations at A.T. Still University of Health Sciences, and previously leveraged his community and donor engagement skills at Make-A-Wish America. He is proud to be an alumnus of the American Express Leadership Academy through Arizona State University’s Lodestar Center for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Innovation and Valley Leadership Accelerate, as well as an active volunteer with Asian Corporate & Entrepreneur Leaders.

Tyler Kinnie

Tyler Kinnie is a Golden Girls fan and a Recruiter, in that order.

Tyler moved to Phoenix to study Business at the DeVry Institute and then proceeded to work in construction and technical environments, assuring both strong business partnerships and positive client experiences. Because of his love for people, the transition into recruiting was a natural fit. Tyler has recruited for companies including Safeway, GoDaddy, Vanguard and is currently the Sr. Recruiting Manager at one of Tempe’s newest gem’s, educational tech startup, Varsity Tutors.

Throughout his career, Tyler has support LGBT & allied community groups as well as charitable groups that are supporting human rights. Tyler launched and served as President of GoDaddy’s LGBT & allied employee group, UNITED. In that capacity, he and the team had great success in building awareness and engagement within the organization as well as connecting the company to the communities that it has offices in.

In his free time, he is traveling with friends, playing with his nieces, eating (and Instagramming) his way through the country and supporting the community in a variety of different ways.
